Social Media Policy
This document sets out how the PRA uses social media.
If you follow the @PRA_Ireland Twitter account you can expect regular tweets referring you to:
- new or updated content on our website
- new publications
- events at which the PRA is participating
- information on services available or administrative changes
The PRA’s Twitter account is hosted by Twitter. You should read Twitter’s privacy policy. You participate at your own risk and must take personal responsibility for the content of your tweets.
We welcome feedback from our followers, however, due to resource constraints we will not be in a position to reply to individual messages.
Sending a message via Twitter will not be considered as contacting the PRA for official purposes and we will not be obliged to respond to requests for information through the Twitter channel. If you need to contact the PRA, please see our Contact details on www.prai.ie or email us at info@prai.ie.
If you follow @PRA_Ireland, we will not automatically follow you back. Our decision to follow a Twitter account does not imply endorsement. Please do not include personal/private information in your tweets to us. We will remove or block a follower if that follower tweets inappropriate or offensive material.
Retweets may be used to highlight relevant appropriate announcements, particularly those by other Government bodies.
We will normally update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours only, Monday to Friday.
Twitter may occasionally become unavailable. The PRA cannot accept responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
