The legislation listed below relates specifically to property registration and forms the basis on which registrations are made.

There are two types of legislation, primary legislation i.e. Acts of the Oireachtas and secondary legislation, in the form of Statutory Instruments.

The Property Registration Authority has also published a number of Practice Directions and Legal Office Notices as general guides to our practices and procedures.
