Event 1:  Dublin’s Festival of History 2022

The Registry of Deeds is participating in Dublin’s Festival of History by hosting a free talk by Dr. Patrick Walsh on 4 October 2022 at 18:00.

In his talk, Dr. Patrick Walsh, will discuss the outcomes of the Registry of Deeds and Sasines research project focusing on the Registry of Deeds findings. He will outline a new ‘typology’ to deeds which aims to assist historical researchers in identifying and interpreting deeds registered in the Irish Registry of Deeds during the eighteenth century. The talk will conclude with the formal launch of Guide to the Registry of Deeds Memorials and Transcripts which will be made available to download from the prai.ie website.

Event 2: Open House 2022

The  Registry of Deeds will participate in Open House 2022 by providing tours of our beautiful James Gandon designed building on Saturday 15 October.
